Dear JNA Members, Friends, and Sponsors: The Jamaican Nationals Association (JNA) of the Washington DC Metropolitan Area wishes to thank you for your generous donation to help us to provide scholarship awards to Jamaican heritage students in the DMV Area and in Jamaica. JNA gave nine (9) Leadership Development Scholarship Awards to provide financial assistance to college and university students of Jamaican heritage in the DMV area and in Jamaica. Under the leadership of our Student Outreach and Educational Support (SOES) Program, JNA recognizes the value to our community of developing effective leadership as a life-long, learned skill. Towards this goal, JNA’s ongoing activities have harnessed the talents of numerous successful leaders of Jamaican heritage, who have shared their experiences in effective leadership with the community on topics such as communication skill development, networking, and the role volunteering can play in leadership development. In addition, JNA’s Leadership Development Scholarships assist needy and talented college students in their development as our future leaders. Sincerely, |
