JNA Delegation Attends Embassy of Jamaica Diaspora Reception in Washington, D.C.

On April 8, 2026, representatives of the Jamaican Nationals Association of the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area attended the Diaspora Reception hosted by the Embassy of Jamaica in Washington, D.C.

The delegation included Carol-Ann Boothe, CPA, FCCA, CGMA, CGFM; Colin Boothe; Robert Steete; Jennifer Asher; Natalee Snider; Rukie Wilson; and Jonathan Linton.

The reception brought together global leaders, policymakers, and members of the Jamaican diaspora under the distinguished patronage of His Excellency Major General (Ret’d) Antony Anderson, Ambassador of Jamaica to the United States. Attendees also heard remarks from Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism, the Honourable Edmund Bartlett, whose address highlighted both vision and a strong commitment to Jamaica’s continued growth and global engagement.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Jamaican Nationals Association membership pin by President Carol-Ann Boothe, alongside Mr. Emille Wallace-Waddell, Community Relations Officer at the Embassy of Jamaica. This moment symbolized the continued partnership and strong ties between the Association and the Embassy in supporting and engaging the diaspora.

In the wake of Hurricane Melissa—a storm that tested Jamaica’s communities, infrastructure, and resilience—the evening served as a powerful reminder of the unity, strength, and enduring spirit of the Jamaican people. The warmth and hospitality on display reflected a shared commitment to moving forward together.

The Jamaican Nationals Association remains committed to fostering community, celebrating cultural pride, and advancing collective progress within the diaspora.
